Laurent grew up in Eastern France which apparently is the bit that isn't near Cannes and studied at Paris's Ecole Superieur d'art Graphique where they taught him typography and photography and drawing and he started working as a graphic designer but surprise surprise found that a bit dull and really wanted to direct so he did loads of amazingly beautiful work with people like Beyonce so that was OK and then what's amazing is that he did all of that stuff which was totally different with people crashing cars and running through windows and people talking so that now most of his work is full of action and stunts and great performance and it still looks great and wins pots of awards so everyone's happy and despite the beard and the fact that he religiously supports Paris St Germain who lose everything all the time we're very pleased he's joined us because at heart he really is a knucklehead.
