Daniel Barber’s stunning second feature film, The Keeping Room, starring Brit Marling, Hailee Steinfield and Sam Worthington, premiered this week at the Toronto International Film Festival. And they're loving it!
The film is a gripping suspense drama about three South Carolina women under siege in the American Civil War. Written by Julia Hart, the script was championed by the awesome Brit Marling and her producer husband Jordan Horowitz.
"We were huge fans of Harry Brown and Tonto Woman, so when we heard he was attached to The Keeping Room we jumped at the opportunity to finance and produce", said producer Judd Payne. "Daniel helped shape amazing performances, created his own unique style of suspense that keeps audiences riveted, and he managed to combine it all with a beautifully shot movie that is so much more than a genre film."
The Keeping Room will screen in competition at the London Film Festival next month and we can't wait!
