We’re thrilled to announce that Zak’s powerful Road Safety Authority campaign won Best Commercial at the Irish New Director Awards last Thursday!
Razvi's campaign for RSA and An Garda Síochána truly shows the heartbreak one bad decision can make. Focusing on the shocking death of 4-year-old Ciaran Treacy in 2014, the campaign lays bare the devastating domino effect that a person’s actions can have on an entire community. Showing the aftermath for a family who were deprived of their young son, and those who fought to save him, the campaign communicates the message behind the ‘Crashed Lives’ that "drink driving destroys lives, families and communities”.
The anguish those involved have suffered is made all the more poignant by Razvi’s choice to use still life style photography accompanied by voice overs, as if recalling what happened is too painful to physically say. For some of the interviewees, this was the first time they’d been able to speak about the crash since 2014.
